White Chocolate Snowflake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • Food coloring, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then mix in the egg and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined. Fold in the melted white chocolate.
  5. Roll out the dough, cut into snowflake shapes, and place on prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely.
  7. Mix powdered sugar with milk to form icing, color if desired, and decorate cooled cookies.

  • Let icing set fully before storing.
