Stuffed Mushrooms (Cheese)

Creamy, cheesy stuffed mushrooms topped with buttery breadcrumbs. A savory, bite-sized appetizer that’s easy to make and hard to resist.

Ingredients

  • 16 large white button mushrooms, stems removed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet or lightly grease a casserole dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, parmesan, mozzarella, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Clean mushroom caps and brush with olive oil. Place them cavity-side up on your baking sheet.
  4. Fill each mushroom with the cheese mixture using a spoon or small scoop.
  5. Toast breadcrumbs in melted butter in a skillet for 2–3 minutes. Sprinkle on top of the filled mushrooms.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the tops are golden and bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Pre-bake mushrooms for 8–10 minutes before stuffing to reduce moisture.
  • Use room-temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
  • Try adding chopped spinach or sundried tomatoes to the filling for variety.
