Spaghetti and Meatballs

A comforting classic made with tender meatballs simmered in rich tomato sauce and tossed with perfectly cooked spaghetti, this dish is cozy, satisfying, and full of familiar flavors everyone loves.

Ingredients

  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 50 g grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 800 g tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the spaghetti.
  2. In a mixing bowl, gently combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan cheese, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs until just mixed.
  3. Heat olive oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  4. Shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs and place them in the skillet.
  5. Brown the meatballs on all sides, then pour in the tomato sauce.
  6. Lower the heat and let the meatballs simmer in the sauce for about 20 minutes.
  7. Cook the spaghetti until al dente, then transfer it directly into the sauce.
  8. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly and serve warm.
