Smash Burger Tacos

Smash Burger Tacos

Crispy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor, these Smash Burger Tacos are the perfect fusion of a juicy burger and a crunchy taco. Quick to make and insanely satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup burger sauce (mayo, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice blend)

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Divide into 6 equal balls.
  3. Lightly oil the skillet and place a tortilla on it. Press a ball of beef onto the tortilla, flattening it to cover the surface.
  4. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of the beef and press slightly to help it melt into the meat.
  5. Cook for 3–4 minutes, then flip carefully and cook another 2 minutes until the tortilla is golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from the skillet and top with chopped onions, shredded lettuce, and a drizzle of burger sauce.
  7. Fold the tacos slightly and serve warm with extra sauce or toppings of choice.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for better melt and texture.
  • Toast tortillas lightly before adding beef for added crunch.
  • Keep tacos warm in a low oven if making a large batch.
  • Reheat leftovers in a skillet for best results.
