Salmon Rice Bowl

A warm and nourishing salmon rice bowl made with tender glazed salmon, fluffy rice, and fresh vegetables, balanced with savory and slightly sweet flavors for an easy and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 450 g salmon fillet, cut into cubes
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 large avocado, sliced
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • 1 cup cooked shelled edamame
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, toss the salmon cubes with soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil until evenly coated.
  3. Lightly oil the skillet and place the salmon cubes in a single layer.
  4. Cook the salmon for 2 to 3 minutes per side until caramelized and just cooked through.
  5. Divide the warm rice between serving bowls.
  6. Top the rice with cooked salmon, avocado slices, cucumber, and edamame.
  7. Finish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the salmon to keep it tender and juicy.
  • Swap white rice for brown rice or jasmine rice if preferred.
  • Add a pinch of chili flakes if you enjoy a little heat.
