Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are packed with thinly sliced beef, caramelized onions, colorful bell peppers, and melty provolone cheese all baked into soft, buttery slider buns. Perfect for parties, game days, or a satisfying weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns, sliced in half
  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 large red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 6–8 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers and sauté for 7–8 minutes until softened.
  3. Push veggies to the side and add sliced beef to the pan. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned.
  4. Place bottom halves of slider buns in the baking dish. Optional: toast in the oven for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Layer the beef and veggie mixture over the buns. Add provolone slices on top, then place top buns over the cheese.
  6. Brush melted butter (mixed with a bit of garlic powder) over the top buns. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden.
  8. Let rest briefly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Toast the bottom buns before assembling to prevent sogginess.
  • Use a serrated knife to slice the sliders cleanly.
  • Customize with jalapeños or mushrooms for added flavor.
  • Prep the filling ahead of time and assemble just before baking.
