Garlic Parmesan Wings

Crispy oven baked chicken wings tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce and finished with freshly grated parmesan for a savory, crowd pleasing dish that works for game day or an easy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with foil, then place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack, leaving space between each piece.
  5. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the wings are baking, mix the melted butter and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  7. Remove the wings from the oven and immediately toss them with the garlic butter mixture.
  8. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the hot wings and toss again until well coated.
  9. Finish with chopped parsley if using and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the wings for the last 2 minutes while watching closely.
  • Always add the parmesan after baking to prevent burning.
  • Freshly grated parmesan gives the best flavor and texture.
