Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake

Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake

A cozy baked breakfast made with soft cinnamon rolls soaked in a rich vanilla custard, baked until golden, and finished with a sweet icing drizzle. Perfect for brunch, holidays, or slow weekend mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (about 12 rolls total)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Cut cinnamon rolls into quarters and spread evenly in the baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and maple syrup.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces.
  5. Let sit for 5 minutes so the rolls absorb the mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and set in the center.
  7. Warm the icing from the cinnamon rolls and drizzle over the bake while warm.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Let the bake rest for a few minutes before serving so it sets properly.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon on top before baking.
  • This dish reheats well for leftovers.
