Caesar Salad

Classic Caesar Salad made with crisp romaine lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, crunchy homemade croutons, and freshly grated parmesan cheese. A satisfying and flavorful dish perfect as a side or a light main.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup croutons
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F if making homemade croutons.
  2. Whisk together lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and Caesar dressing. Slowly whisk in olive oil until well combined.
  3. For croutons, toss bread cubes with olive oil and salt. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy. Let cool.
  4. In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine, croutons, and parmesan.
  5. Drizzle dressing over salad and toss gently to coat evenly.
  6. Top with extra parmesan if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use chilled, thoroughly dried lettuce for best crunch.
  • Make dressing and croutons in advance for faster assembly.
  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp to make it a full meal.
