Brown Sugar Glazed Chicken

Sticky, sweet, and savory chicken coated in a rich brown sugar glaze that caramelizes beautifully as it cooks, making it a comforting and crowd-pleasing main dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken drumsticks
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
  2. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the chicken drumsticks to the skillet in a single layer.
  4. Pour the glaze evenly over the chicken.
  5. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes, turning occasionally and spooning glaze over the chicken as it thickens.
  6. Continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked and coated in a sticky, caramelized glaze.
  7. Remove from heat, let rest briefly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Cook over medium heat to avoid burning the sugar.
  • Baste frequently for an even, glossy coating.
  • Let the chicken rest a few minutes before serving to keep it juicy.
