Blueberry Iced Latte

Blueberry Iced Latte

A refreshing, layered iced latte made with homemade blueberry compote, creamy milk, and bold espresso. The perfect fruity twist for coffee lovers looking for something unique and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice
  • 2 shots (about 1/2 cup) espresso

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and water. Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until the berries burst and thicken into a compote. Stir in vanilla and let it cool.
  2. Prepare your espresso and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a tall glass, add 2–3 tablespoons of the blueberry compote.
  4. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  5. Slowly pour milk over the back of a spoon to create a separated layer above the compote.
  6. Gently pour the espresso on top to form the final layer.
  7. Optional: Garnish with blueberries or a mint sprig. Serve immediately and stir before drinking if desired.

Notes

  • Chill your glass ahead of time to keep the drink colder longer.
  • You can use honey or maple syrup instead of sugar.
  • Oat milk adds a creamy, naturally sweet touch for a vegan version.
  • Make extra compote to use in yogurt bowls or over pancakes.
