Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 small onion, finely grated

  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup creamy yogurt sauce

Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, grated onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Lightly brush the skillet with olive oil.
  4. Shape the beef mixture into small oval or round kofta pieces.
  5. Place the kofta in the hot pan and cook, turning gently, until browned on all sides and cooked through.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  7. Assemble bowls with cooked rice, kofta, and a generous spoon of yogurt sauce.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the beef to keep the kofta tender.
  • You can prepare the kofta mixture up to one day ahead and store it in the fridge.
  • Serve with extra sauce on the side for added creaminess.
