BBQ Chicken Pizza

A homemade BBQ Chicken Pizza with a golden crust, smoky barbecue sauce, tender chicken, melted cheeses, and a fresh herb finish. It is bold, comforting, and perfect for easy pizza nights.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough, 450 g
  • Cooked chicken breast, shredded, 300 g
  • BBQ sauce, 120 ml
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded, 200 g
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded, 100 g
  • Red onion, thinly sliced, 1 medium
  • Olive oil, 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped, 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C and place a baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. In a bowl, toss the shredded chicken with half of the BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to medium thickness.
  4. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and spread the remaining BBQ sauce evenly.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the sauce.
  6. Distribute the BBQ chicken and red onion slices evenly on top.
  7. Transfer the pizza to the hot baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve warm.

  • Use a BBQ sauce you enjoy since it defines the overall flavor.
  • Shredded chicken spreads more evenly than chunks.
  • Let the pizza rest for 2 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.
