Banana Bread

A warm and tender homemade banana bread that is moist, flavorful, and perfect for breakfast or a cozy snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1 half cups all purpose flour
  • 3 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 half cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 quarter teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl, then stir in melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt, then fold gently until everything is just combined.
  4. Grease a 9 by 5 inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
  5. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes then transfer to a rack before slicing.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas for the best sweetness and moisture.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the crumb tender.
  • Store at room temperature for several days or freeze slices for later.
