Baked Ziti Alfredo

Creamy baked ziti alfredo made with tender pasta, rich homemade alfredo sauce, melted cheese, and hearty chicken, baked until bubbly and golden for the ultimate comfort meal.

Ingredients

  • 450 g ziti pasta
  • 60 g butter
  • 480 ml heavy cream
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 120 g parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 200 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 300 g cooked chicken breast, diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C and lightly grease a deep baking dish.
  2. Cook the ziti pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, add the garlic, and cook briefly until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and let it gently simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Add parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, stirring until smooth.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, alfredo sauce, and diced chicken.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
  10. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, rest for 5 minutes, then serve.

Notes

  • Cook pasta just to al dente to prevent softness after baking.
  • Use freshly grated cheese for best melting and flavor.
  • Let the dish rest before serving so it sets nicely.
